A special exhibition of Vietnamese folk paintings will open on January 29 at the Culture Exchange Center in Hanoi's Old Quarter.
It will feature around 200 paintings and relevant documents about Vietnam’s folk art heritage.
Besides the famous Dong Ho and Hang Trong woodblock paintings, the exhibition will also display paintings from southern and central regions.
There will be a seminar on cultural and historical values of Vietnamese folk paintings and how to preserve them.
The paintings are from a private collection of the well-known curator Nguyen Thi Thu Hoa, director of Hanoi Museum of Ceramics and Porcelain.
The exhibition will run until February 12 at 50 Dao Duy Tu Street.
