A painting exhibition by 17 Hanoian artists is being held at Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts from December 1 to 15, Tuoi Tre newspaper reported Friday.
The exhibition features paintings of various materials by artists of all ages and generations, presenting people and landscapes of northern Vietnam.
They artworks include a colorful, lively Sapa by artist To Ngoc Thanh, Hanoi's busy markets by Pham Hoang Vuong, ethnic minority young women by Le Thi Hoan, or subtle observations by Ngo Thanh Nhan and Pham Ngoc Diep of streets in the capital.
In addition, for the first time, painter Ngo Cao Giang is exhibiting his pastel paintings on silks, a new form of Vietnam's silk painting, at the event.
Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts is located on 97A Pho Duc Chinh Street, District 1.
