An exhibition featuring 50 photos of Ha Long Bay opened in New York this week in an effort to promote the famous Vietnamese tourist spot, the government said in a statement on its website Thursday.

The exhibition was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with Vietnamese representatives at the United Nations.

The photos portray the beautiful landscapes and biodiversity of Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site, according to the statement.

The photos are now on display at Vietnam Art Design, 345 Greenwich Street, New York, through August 18.
