The Goethe Institute's third annual film festival will be held this year in six major Vietnamese cities from September 6 to October 4.
The last two festivals attracted roughly 30.000 viewers in total, the institute said.
This year's festival will include a special selection of 10 contemporary German films that have already found success with international audiences and judges at the Berlin Film Festival.
This year's screenings will be held in Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hue, Da Nang, HCMC and (for the first time) Nha Trang.
The films will be screened in the original German language with Vietnamese subtitles or dubbing.
Tickets for all films are free. The film festival will also include a film quiz and prizes for the winners.
The Hanoi screening will be held on Sept 6-13 at the National Cinema Center at 87 Lang Ha Street, Ba Dinh District.
The Hai Phong screenings will be held at the Worker's Cinema, 111 Cau Dat, Ngo Quyen District from Sept 21-25.
The Da Nang screenings aer scheduled from Sep 13-18 at Le Do Cinema, 46 Tran Phu Street.
The Hue screenings will be held at the Center for Culture & Information, 41A Hung Vương and Lieu Quan Buddhist Cultural Center, 15A Le Loi, are screening venues of the German films in Hue from Sep 14-19.
Ho Chi Minh Cith will screen the films from Sep 28 to Oct 4 at BHD Star Cinema, 3-Thang-2 Str. 3C, District 10.
Nha Trang's Film Cinema, 10 Hoang Hoa Tham will screen the films on Sep 20 23.
