Pianist Gabriel Tran Phuong Nam will give a solo performance at the Sofitel Saigon Plaza Hotel on August 13.
The concert by the 21-year-old pianist is organized by the Consulate General of France in Ho Chi Minh City, Groupama insurance and Air France.
Nam will perform some compositions by world-renowned composers comprising Bach, Beethoven Debussy, Kurtag and Liszt.
Nam was born in Noisy-le Sec town on the Paris's outskirts and is now a third-year student at the Paris Conservatoire.
This is his second concert here. The first one was held last year at HCMC's Conservatory of Music.
The show, included in a program hosted by Suoi Viet Company from 2009, is free, as it aims to popularize classical music.
He performed successfully the piece "˜Jeux d'Eau' by Maurice Ravel when he was just 13 years old and has since won many international awards.
The show will start at 8:00 p.m. at Sofitel Saigon Plaza, 17 Le Duan, District 1, HCMC.
