French cultural agency IDECAF will organize a jazz concert by a celebrated trio from France in Ho Chi Minh City on September 29.

Rémi Panossian, chosen as "Revelation of the year 2011" by French radio TSF JAZZ, will bring their piano, double bass, and drums to the center at 31 Thai Van Lung Street, District 1.

The band is named after its 29-year-old pianist who started playing at the age of seven and got hooked on jazz three years later after attending a Michel Petrucciani concert.

He is a jazz teacher whenever his schedule allows.

In 2002 he met double bass player Julien Duthu and the two produced several singles before winning the Best New Talent award from the French Jazz Academy.

In 2009 Panossian formed the band with Maxime Delporte on double bass and Frederic Petitprez on the drums.

They have since performed in many countries. Their debut album "Add Fiction" in January 2011 has been received well by the international media and audiences.
