French orchestra leader to play Hanoi

Gérard Akoka from France will conduct a symphony concert at the Hanoi Opera House on April 11.

A student of world-famous artists like Sergiu Celibidache, Franco Ferrara, and Leonard Bernstein, Akoka has won several awards in major international conductor competitions.

His memorable performances of works of Beethoven, Brahms, Mahler, Bruckner, Wagner, Richard Strauss, Berlioz, Debussy, Ravel, Stravinsky, Bartok, etc., have been always welcomed by audiences.

In the upcoming concert in Hanoi, Akoka will perform the Symphony No. 5 of Beethoven, Overture "Les Preludes" and Hungarian Rhapsody No.2 of Franz Liszt.
