A special Christmas Event took place at the new Crescent Mall on Sunday (December 11) evening in Ho Chi Minh City.

An outdoor film screening was held in front of the Crescent Mall and the new MegaStar Cineplex, according to a press release from the organizer, the Canon 48 Hour Film Project Vietnam.

Some of the best short films made as part of this year's Canon 48 Hour Film Project Vietnam, as well as award winning films from Hanoi and nominated films from HCMC were screened for the first time.

The Crescent Mall is located at Phu My Hung in District 7.

The Canon 48 Hour Film Project Vietnam was a "wild and sleepless" event held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in October and November. Cinema lovers formed teams to make a short film in just 48 hours.
