A club of women photographers will show their best photographs of Hanoi in late August to mark the city's millennial anniversary.

The Hai Au (Gull) Club will showcase 100 black and white prints for the Ha Noi nhung goc nhin (Hanoi view angles) on August 25 at the capital's

Temple of Literature, the site of the first university established in Vietnam (1076 AD).

"When I visit Hanoi, I'm interested in any scene, old and new. We are only passers by, but we have loved Hanoi so much, not to mention the Hanoians who live there," said Dao Hoa Nu, chairwoman of the 20-yearold club.

Among the scenes featured at the exhibition will be temples, river dykes, craft villages, old women chewing betel, ong do (old time scholars) painting calligraphy, a rainy afternoon by The Huc Bridge and a moonlit night on Sword Lake (Ho Guom or Ho Hoan Kiem).
