The European Food Festival will return to Ho Chi Minh City on September 8 bringing a gourmet buffet and free flow of premium drinks.
A variety of European delicacies will be set out from 5:30-11 pm, including fresh Greek salad, Spanish seafood paella and Black Forest gateau--a German dessert consisting of several layers of chocolate cake, with whipped cream and cherries between each layer.
The festival is organized by the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam and will be held on the 7th floor of the Windsor Plaza Hotel Saigon, 18 An Duong Vuong, District 5.
Tickets will cost VND700,000 (US$34) for adults. Children between 6 and 11 will be admitted for half price and kids under 6 can enter for free.
The festival will feature a variety of live musical performances (everything from blues to flamenco) and other on-stage performances like belly dancing, a magic show, a photo booth and many games, including an "apple peeling competition."
Guests will be automatically entered to win valuable door prizes, including meals at food and hospitality venues all over Vietnam and even a return business-class ticket to Europe.
Last year, the fifth European Food Festival was attended by more than 1,000 people. A larger turn-out is expected at this year's event, which was sponsored by FrieslandCampina Vietnam, Philips Electronics Vietnam, Heineken, Fanny Ice Cream and Vietnam Airlines--as well as the beverage companies and restaurants that will supply food and drink.
