Cherry Hartman's idea: "When your dreams are shattered, sweep up the pieces and keep them. Little points of hope can be found in the ruins of dreams," inspired the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet and Symphony Orchestra to present a new version of their modern ballet, "Dream Puzzles," set to open July 9.
The 40-minute ballet, performed at HCMC Opera House, was inspired by Hartman's writings. The ballet was performed last April and was received warmly by local critics and audiences.
This performance of the ballet, which was scripted and choreographed by brothers Nguyen Phuc Hai and Nguyen Phuc Hung, will include two additional segments.
The cast hopes that the longer version will add essential emotion to the production and please HCMC's ballet-lovers.
Tickets range in price from VND60,000 (US$3) for students, to VND150,000 (US$7.5) and VND250,000 (US$12.5) and are available now at the HCMC Opera House, 7 Lam Son Square, District 1.
