A series of live shows commemorating the 10-year death anniversary of the late, composer, Trinh Cong Son, will be held throughout the country from March until April.
Son passed away on April 1, 2001 at the age of 62.
According to co-organizers, Thanh Nien Media Corporation, BHD Company, and Trinh Vinh Trinh, Son's younger sister, the event will feature the musician' greatest hits along with songs that have never been published before.
In addition to three shows at the Hanoi Opera House, Ho Chi Minh City Opera House, and the White Palace in Ho Chi Minh City, the event will include free performances at universities in Hanoi, Hue and HCMC and the city's Binh Quoi Tourist Village.
Also, for the first time, Son's family will display the musician's photos and paintings, and love letters he wrote to a woman named Dao Anh in the 1990s.
At the final performance (at the White Palace on April 10) Trinh Vinh Trinh will release two albums featuring her renditions of her brother's music, accompanied by saxophonist Tran Manh Tuan.
It will be the largest posthumous event organized in the legendary musician's name.
