The coastal town of Vung Tau in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province will hold the third International Kite Festival from April 7 to 11.
Organizers said around 120 artisans from 25 countries and territories will participate in the festival. The opening ceremony will take place on April 8 and will be followed by the "kite night" performance at Paradise Resort the next evening.
The four-day fest will include various outdoor activities, including a kite exhibition and freestyle kite performances.
At last year's international kite fest, Vietnam had four delegates from the country's different regions.
The host country's unique collection, including the northern flute kite, the traditional kite from Hue Town and a giant aerodynamic kite developed by Ba Ria-Vung Tau artisans, have impressed both local and foreign visitors in previous editions of the festival, and it is set for a repeat performance this year.
