A screening to be held in Ho Chi Minh City, on Saturday, will feature two important scenes from Vietnamese experimental art and short film.
It will start with a documentary film about Nha San (Stilt House) Studio, Vietnam's first experimental art space in Hanoi.
The film will show the studio founders discussing how artists in Hanoi have worked together to create exhibitions, performances, music recitals, theatre and dance.
It will be followed by recent short films produced by the Propeller, an HCMC-based Vietnamese artist group which has been cooperating with the Danish group Superflex since 2004.
In the three films, a McDonald's shop slowly floods, a car spontaneously combusts and a man is slowly hypnotized in public.
The screening will start at 4 p.m. at San Art, No.3 Me Linh, HCMC.
