The Ho Chi Minh City International Choir & Orchestra will present the musical version of Charles Dickens' classic, A Christmas Carol, this December, according to a press release issued Thursday.
Based on the 1842 novella by Charles Dickens, the "Christmas Carol A New Musical" is the story of the very tight fisted and mean Ebenezer Scrooge, whose outlook changes on Christmas Eve via his meeting with various ghosts.
The new version's musical score contains music by Steve Parsons and lyrics by John Popa, according to the statement.
With the show scheduled for December 3-5, the organization plans an open casting call on August 28 for all principal roles that require the ability to sing and act. Those who are interested should contact email@example.com.
Tickets are expected to be on sale from October 1, but the theatre and ticket office locations won't be announced until later, the press release said.
