Award-winning singer Christine Anu, one of Australia's most popular artists, will perform in Hanoi, Vinh Phuc, and Ho Chi Minh City from January 26 to 29.
"We are very excited to have Ms. Anu here in Vietnam,” Australian ambassador to Vietnam Hugh Borrowman said in a statement.
“Not only will we be able to share some of her music with our Vietnamese friends, but it will also be an opportunity for Ms. Anu to share with Vietnam something of her unique Torres Strait Island heritage," said Borrowman.
Anu will perform a concert at the Hanoi Opera House to celebrate Australia Day on January 26.
She will also perform at the Hanoi University of Education No. 2 in the neighboring province of Vinh Phuc on Jan. 28 and at the New World Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City on Jan. 29.
Anu is best known for the song "My Island Home", which she performed at the closing ceremony of the Sydney 2000 Olympics.
