An exhibition of works by top local cartoonists nationwide is being held at Hanoi's Fine Arts Exhibition House until August 5.
Nearly 100 art works covering issues including inflation, education, environment, corruption and the local entertainment industry are on display.
The cartoons displayed use diverse material and forms, including oil, acrylic, powder colors and photoshop technology.
Well-known cartoonist Ly Truc Dung said the exhibition is a special opportunity for local artists to present their art work to the public since most of their work is usually printed on newspapers in small size and mostly in black and white.
"The cartoons themselves are not created to change the world, but serve as the artist's way to fight for a better world," Dung told the Tuoi Tre newspaper.
On the morning of August 5, participating cartoonists will hold an open conference on cartoons in general and their art works in particular to close the exhibition.
The exhibition opens at 16, Ngo Quyen Street.
