Canadian artist Blake will open his world renowned sculpture exhibition "Fragments" in Hanoi on January 22.
"Fragments" is a collection of clay figures cast in bronze, an exploration of beauty and the human form in modern times, ravaged by history, but nevertheless intact.
Blake draws attention to ideas of the aesthetic by creating purposefully disfigured sculptures.
In conjunction with the United Nations Association program NoMore-Landmines & Adopt-A-Minefield, Blake will donate all proceeds from his exhibition to clean up landmines a project he has already undertaken in Vietnam, Cambodia, Russia and Angola.
The exhibition will run until March 12 at the Bui Gallery, 23 Ngo Van So.
