Canadian bubble artist returns to Vietnam

Fan Yang, who was born to a Hungarian father and Vietnamese mother, uses soap water to create and manipulate all sorts of bubbles.

He will perform in Hanoi from May 27 to June 2. On June 4, he will give a performance in Hai Phong his mother's hometown. On June 8, he will wrap up his tour in Quang Ninh Province.

The 50-year-old, who performed in Vietnam in 2006 and 2011, will share the stage with his Vietnamese wife Anna Yang and son Denni Yang, a young talent who is an expert at incorporating lasers into his performances.

The shows are part of an Asian summer tour which will take the family from Beijing to Singapore.

Fan Yang has earned international acclaim for his complex performances, and won wide acclaim for his "Gazillion Bubble Show," which he has taken to New York and Las Vegas.

He has developed his own formulas and equipment to make bubble solutions and holds 17 bubble-related world records.

Tickets are priced between VND100,000 and 450,000. They can be obtained at the Cultural Friendship Palace, 91 Tran Hung Dao Street, Hanoi.
