The British Council in Ho Chi Minh City is calling on Vietnamese adults with filmmaking experience to register for an award that could send them to the UK.
The International Young Screen Entrepreneur Award is open to Vietnamese citizens between 25-35 years old with at least three years' experience working in the local movie industry. Organizers are looking for artists with experience instituting creative ideas to develop the local movie market.
Registration closes September 5.
Candidates can find the requirements for entry to the awards contest at: www.britishcouncil.org/vietnam.
Those short-listed through this first round will be asked to deliver a speech of 20 minutes and be interviewed for another 20 minutes for the final selection. The winner will join the competition in the UK, a 12-day trip that will include meetings with movie businesspeople in the UK and attendance at the London Film Festival.
The award is part of the International Young Creative Entrepreneur Award organized by the international British Council.
