DINGBATS BRAZIL, an outstanding exhibition of Brazilian graphic arts, will open from August 21 to 30 at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum in Hanoi.

The show will feature work from the first decade (1996-2006) of Brazil's production of the digital pictorial alphabets "dingbats" in thirty-five projects by 22 prominent contemporary designers

DINGBATS BRAZIL is a joint venture held by the Embassy of the Federative Republic of Brazil and the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum with support from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The works were selected by Brazilian graphic designer Bruno Porto in 2006 while he was the Coordinator of Illustration Studies for the Visual Arts Institute of Rio de Janeiro's UniverCidade. The exhibition attempts to chronicle Brazilian culture graphically in a presentation of icons that represent its music, religion, arts, cuisine and design.
