Weary feet are in for a treat.
If you have had your fill of foot massages and old-fashioned pedicures, head to the Blue Moon Spa at 32 Dong Khoi Street in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.
The Blue Moon Spa is one of the first in the city to offer a tingling new exfoliating treatment using fish.
A soothing tank of blue water swarms with tiny Garra Rufa fish. The manager promises the fish don't bite; they only nibble the dead skin off your feet.
After a wash and gentle massage of the feet, I gingerly stepped into the tank, sitting on its edge. Immediately, the tiny fish gathered around my feet and began to suck the dirt and dead cells off. Though very ticklish at first, I quickly got used to the fish all over my feet, and ended up having a lot of fun.
The massage costs US$10. Besides the fish massage, the spa also offers Thai massage ($12 for 60 minutes), hot stone massages ($12 for 60 minutes) and Hindu massages ($7 for 30 minutes).
