The southern province of Binh Duong will host the nation's first ceramic and porcelain festival from September 4-8.

The festival will include a porcelain fair, a display of ancient pottery collected from the coastal provinces in Vietnam, porcelain installations, an exhibition of daily life handicraft products, and a pottery photo exhibit.

Festival organizers aim to promote the traditional ceramic industry and honor the cradles of Vietnamese pottery, including the Bat Trang ceramic village in Hanoi, Bau Truc village in the central province of Ninh Thuan, and Binh Duong Province.

The festival, held by the Binh Duong People's Committee, will also feature a fashion competition inspired by Vietnamese ceramic and a pottery competition.
