The Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra (VNSO) is playing Beethoven's Ninth Symphony alongside other regional national orchestras in Hanoi December 26 and 27.
Orchestras from Japan, North and South Korea, China and Taiwan are also playing at the event.
The concert, which will tour six countries and territories starting in Vietnam, is held as part of a cultural exchange program between countries and territories in Northeast Asia and to mark the 250th anniversary of renowned German composer Ludwig van Beethoven's birthday (1770 2020), according to a report on the Vietnam government's website.
In Vietnam, the concert will feature participants such as Japanese conductor Honna Tetsuji and some other globally-renowned artists like Soo Yun Chung from South Korea, Zhong Hao from China, Claude Lin from Taiwan and Vietnamese artist Ha Pham Thang Long.
The show will take place at 8 p.m. at the Hanoi Opera House at 1 Trang Tien Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi.
