The Chu Ru ethnic community in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong celebrated Christmas in a brand-new, award-winning church.
Ka Don Church, located in Don Duong District, opened in July after four years of construction.
The church was designed by two Vietnamese German architects, Nguyen Tuan Dung and Vu Thi Thu Huong, who won the special prize for their design from the Frate Sole Foundation in Pavia, Italy in 2011.
The organization was founded by a priest in 2007 to encourage design excellence in the construction of churches all over the world.
The structure features a tile roof and a wood-framed glass wall system that doubles as a series of sliding doors.
