The 5P Painters Club will exhibit some of its best work in Ho Chi Minh City later this month.

The exhibition titled Cung sanh buoc 2 (In step impression 2) will begin on Saturday next week and include 120 works by 12 artists.

The artists will present landscapes, orchards, and human life in both realist and abstract styles.

New members of the club will show for the first time at the second version of the biennial exhibition, which features the work of award-winning guest painter Co Van Hau.

The club gathers members between 17 and 75 years of age, led by Nguyen Thi Tam, a former lecturer at the HCMC Fine Arts University.

The club's official mission is to capture through art the simple beauty of Vietnam, which club members say is sometimes unnoticed amid the business of modern life.

The most well known artists in the club are Nguyen Thi Tam, Nhu Khoi, Thuy Linh, Thanh Le and Huong Giang, all of whom are professional artists that have exhibited many times both inside and outside Vietnam.

The exhibition will last until June 28 at the HCMC Exhibition House, 92 Le Thanh Ton Street, District 1.
