A series of workshops, concerts and performances are underway in Hanoi, Hue and Ho Chi Minh City to celebrate the German Year in Vietnam.
The events are part of the Open Academy 2010 project, conducted by ten world famous musicians and artists from Berlin and their Vietnamese counterparts.
The project, which ends this month, aims to share knowledge and experience concerning modern means of communication, performance arts, mapping in arts and spatial organization.
In Hanoi, a four-day workshop on performance art will conclude Friday, with a grand performance at the Goethe Institute.
A jazz workshop will be held from Monday to Wednesday, next week, ending with a concert at 9 p.m. at the La Cooperative, 46 An Duong Street.
Meanwhile, performances will be held on Sunday in HCMC at 5 p.m. at San Art, 3 Me Linh Street, Binh Thanh District.
The project is sponsored by the Hanoi Goethe Institute and the Germany's Ministry of Culture.
