A well-known American dancer and actress arrived in Ho Chi Minh on Monday to participate in the local version of the US’s dancing competitor So You Think You Can Dance?
Contest organizers announced last week that they had invited Kathryn McCormick, 24, to help the contestants prepare and appear alongside them at an important gala on Saturday.
The evening event, held in the Cong Hoa Maximart Performing Center in Tan Binh District, will be broadcast live on the HTV7 channel of the municipal television.
McCormick placed third in the sixth season of the American televised dance competition--the highest placement for a woman that season.
She has returned in seasons 7-10 as one of the show's "all-stars" and played a leading role in the fourth Step Up movie, Step Up Revolution (2012) and the upcoming, Dance-Off (2014), alongside Shane Harper.
The Vietnam version of So You Think You Can Dance? is now more than half way through its third season.
