Nearly 470 workers were hospitalized Thursday with food poisoning symptoms in one of Ho Chi Minh City’s suburban districts, local health agencies.
The workers, employees of the Truong Vinh Company, Jadeluck International Co. Ltd., Smart Elegant Vietnam Company, and Takson Company, started vomiting, felt dizzy and suffered from diarrhea in the morning.
Some said that they had lunch and dinner at their companies’ factories the day before.
All the meals were provided by the Toan Cau Company in Binh Chanh District.
The city's Department of Health has suspended the supplier and taken samples for testing.
